Graduation ceremonies
Graduations should be celebrated properly! Anyone wishing to do so has the opportunity to take part in a special ceremony in the university’s grand assembly hall, the Große Universitätsaula.
General information
In order to avoid confusion, we would like to state that the completion of a degree programme is certified by the respective Examinations Office with the legally binding document “Notification of Award of the Academic Degree”. Participation in an official graduation ceremony at the University Salzburg is voluntary. Registration for the ceremony takes place exclusively via the online registration form (see link below).
Please note! Registration for the graduation ceremony is only possible with a valid notification of award! Without a valid notification of award, you will be deregistered from the ceremony and your participation fee will be refunded.

Dates
Dates for upcoming celebrations are added here on an ongoing basis.
Due to the high demand, we recommend that you log in as soon as possible after the start of registration in order to secure your place for the ceremony. For organisational reasons, there is a limited number of places available. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no waiting list.
Your participation is only binding after receipt of the confirmation of registration and payment of the participation fee. Please do not book your travel and accommodation until you have registered.
The registration periods start at 9 am and end at 12 noon, provided there are still places available.

Registration
Please have the following details or documents ready in order to ensure a smooth registration process:
- Matriculation number
- Study programme (as stated in PLUSonline, e.g. “Bachelorstudium Psychologie”)
- Awarding document/Verleihungsbescheid (PDF/JPEG/PNG format). Tip: The highlighted segments in will be required for the registration form.
- A short sentence about your future plans (we will introduce you when you receive your certificate). Max. 250 characters (including spaces)
- Credit/debit card or bank details
